My experience with new Spiced up Baby lips color lip balms:

Packaging:

The lip balm packaging is just similar like the previous baby lips version. The lip balm case is color coded with balm color and has twist able bottom part. The lip balm comes properly sealed in a cover that has all necessary details mentioned on it other than the ingredients. Maybelline has never disappointed me in this regard earlier. But this time sadly they have not mentioned the list of ingredients on pack, which is of course disappointing.

Fragrance:

Berry sherbet has a delicious fruity fragrance to it, which i just love <3 I simply cant' stop myself licking it.

Spicy Cinnamon has spicy fragrance, to be precise..it smells exactly like cinnamon, I honestly don't like spicy fragrances but as this is not too strong so kind of okay for me. Both the fragrances start fading off after a while and become very mild.

Color & Coverage:

Berry Sherbet as the name tells is a berry tinted lip balm. As it's only a lip balm, it's pretty obvious the color won't come as intense as it looks in bullet. It's translucent berry color that you may slightly build up the intensity by layering it couple of times but it will remain sheer tinted only.

Maybelline Baby Lips Spiced Up Color Lip Balm:  Berry Sherbet

Spicy Cinnamon is a sheer coffee nude color. It's very very sheer(sheer than the berry sherbet) and you need to swipe it couple of times to get the decently tinted lips. Initially I was afraid that this will be too dark color but Spicy Cinnamon just gives you soft hint of coffee and kind of gives you beautiful natural nude lip look. As i said the color is sheer than Berry Sherbet but I like how it kind of evens out any lip pigmentation.

Maybelline Baby Lips Spiced Up Color Lip Balm Berry Sherbet, Spicy Cinnamon: Swatches

Okay honestly when i first saw the advertisement of these new lip balms..I didn't liked the colors and neither I liked their idea of launching deeper shade lip balms. Of course in the ad the color looks very dark and intense..but these are much beautiful in reality and I liked the results, I mean how the colors look after layering it couple of times :)

Formula:

The lip balms just glide onto lips like butter..they have Vitamin E and coconut oil, so these are also very nourishing to the lips. These lip balms give you glossy, softer, smoother and juicy lips. Also these help in keeping lips hydrated and nourished without any heavy feeling even after layering.
Coming to it's 12 hour intense care claim..well the lip balm remains there on my lips for say about 3 hour but even when it goes off it does take care of lips. I mean lips still stay softer and smoother and never get dry through out the day, so you don't need to apply the lip balm again. But yes as the color goes off once you eat something..so for color you definitely need reapplication but yes it does takes care of lips for a really long time.

Affordability:

As far as I remember now, the previous variants were priced for I guess 150/- or 160/- rupees. Maybelline have increased the price little bit but i still find these very good quality for the value you pay. Decent pricing overall.

Pros:

1. Good packaging, travel friendly
2. Mess free application
3. Provides a sheer hint of color to lips
4. Intensity is slightly buildable
5. Berry Sherbet smells so delicious
6. Butter like formula that glides on lips
7. Makes lips appear softer, smoother and juicy
8. Keeps like nourished and hydrated
9. Decent price. Value for money.
10. Have SPF 20

Cons:

1. Full ingredients are not mentioned on pack
2. Spicy Cinnamon fragrance is a bit strong

Overall Rate: 4.7/5

Verdict: Maybelline New Spiced Up! Baby lips color lip balm Berry Sherbet, Coffee Cinnamon are both beautiful shades that delivers a sheer hint of color to the lips. These are moisturizing, makes lips softer, smoother and even when they fade..the blips still remain soft and nourished. Available in three new variants..must a try! Recommended!
