Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Wash Review, Pictures and Price

Hey Everyone,

I'll be reviewing Malvara Body wash today which I got in April Fab Bag. Malvara Body wash is available in four luxury contemporary fragrances: Pepper Saffron, Sandalwood Rose, Tea Jasmine & Lime Vetiver which are inspired by the four compass points of India. Lime Vetiver which I am reviewing today is described as a vividly refreshing fragrance, evoking the citrus sharp verve of west India. Let's zoom in to know more:

What Brand says:

A luxurious lathering body cleanser evoking the citrus sharp verve of Western India with skin illuminating lime and reviving natural vetiver.

Price: Rs.1000/- for 300ml

Shelf Life: Only manufacturing date mentioned, date of expiry is not given on pack

Ingredients:

Made in India

My experience with this Body wash:

Malvara body wash comes in a clear, see through bottle with a screw open silver color cap. Important information such as ingredients and net content is mentioned on the packaging itself. But they have not given date of expiry anywhere. I have this body wash in 60 ml size but it is available in a bigger 300 ml size as well.
The packaging is simple and easy to use.

This body wash as the name suggests has citrus fragrance. I generally prefer citrus fragrance in my bath products but this one has very strong citrus fragrance and i don't prefer anything that strong. The fragrance lingers on for sometime after bath but the good thing is, it does not smells that strong after bath and fades later on.

Lime Vetiver body wash is a see through, green tinted liquid formula with syrup like consistency. I need about one small spoon of this on loofah and this much of the quantity is just enough for the whole body as it foams nicely. It lathers to rich velvety foam that cleans the body very well. The fragrance is refreshing but sadly too strong for my sensitive nose. I like how well it cleans the body without disturbing the ph balance of skin thus it does not make skin dry. The skin look well cleansed, shiny and I never feel the urge to instantly apply the body lotion after bath because of its moisturizing non drying formula.
What i disliked about this is that every time after towel drying, damp skin feel little bit sticky as if the residue is left on skin(which obviously no one prefers) though that sticky feel goes off as soon as the skin dries completely.

The 60 ml quantity easily lasts upto 30 washes. The body wash is priced for Rs.1000/- for 300 ml which I honestly find pricey for the quality(which I am impressed with).

Available at: Fab Bag and Malvara website

Overall Rate: 3/5

Verdict: I have overall very mixed experience with Malvara Lime Vetiver body wash. I liked how it nicely foams and cleans skin without making it dry but then on other side I didn't like the strong citrus scents. The main turn off for me is the sticky feel you experience when you touch damp skin. Do I recommend? May be given a try if you like strong citrus fragrance and okay with that sticky feel on skin.
